What is Mechonomist?

I’m Zac Hyden. Mechonomist is designed to raise money for The Automotive Free Clinic. The Automotive Free Clinic is a non-profit shop that does free and low-cost automotive repair for the community. I will be writing about shop life, radical politics, spirituality, and bipolar disorder.

I have a book called Memoirs of a Mad Redneck, which you can order if you email me, and I’m working on my second book, Redneck Liberation Theology: The Upright Men. Also, if you’re in the Montgomery area, let me know if you need some automotive work.
